Since 2018, Valcare and Nation Builder have journeyed together with a common goal to strengthen South Africa’s social impact sector. Both serving as ‘bridge builders’ between the business and nonprofit sectors, these two organisations are now becoming one.
Keri-Leigh Paschal from Mergon shares: ‘We recognised a significant opportunity for synergy, grounded in a shared vision and approach to social impact. After thoughtful discussions and envisioning potential outcomes, it became evident that the advantages of ‘joining forces’ and combining our complementary strengths would far surpass the benefits of continuing on our separate paths.’
As of 1 February, the Valcare team will take over the strategic and operational reins, taking on the Nation Builder name, and leading with strong support from some members of the original Nation Builder board.
