In October, Nation Builder contributed to the FORGE Global Conference—a gathering focused on strengthening Christian entrepreneurship and leadership ecosystems.
CEO Ivan Swartz and Senior Programme Manager Maurisa Moloto participated in panel discussions grounded in the practical realities of building mission-driven organisations in complex environments.
Maurisa presented on “Kingdom Impact Management for Resource-Constrained Companies,” exploring how organisations with varying resource levels can select meaningful indicators to measure holistic impact. The panel conversation brought together diverse leaders from organisations such as Kingdom Impact (kingdomimpact.co.uk), Sinapis (sinapis.org), and The Heron Group (herongroup.co), engaging in dialogue on responsible leadership, measurable impact, and sustaining purpose-driven ventures in resource-constrained contexts. Drawing on case studies and practical tools, she unpacked three tiers of resource capacity and shared accessible frameworks that enable even different organisations to implement credible, outcome-driven impact management.
Ivan facilitated an interactive workshop titled “Guardrails for Visionaries: Navigating the Tightrope of Kingdom Governance and Redemptive Risk.” Challenging the perception of governance as mere compliance, the session reframed robust governance as an act of stewardship—essential for protecting mission integrity, safeguarding reputation, and attracting sustainable investment. The workshop addressed the balance between secure oversight and courageous innovation, while offering practical insights into data privacy, AI governance, and building organisations that are transparent, ethical, and resilient to complexity.
These engagements created space for honest reflection on sustainability, accountability, and long-term stewardship—themes that strongly echo Nation Builder’s own commitment to strengthening governance, impact measurement, and ethical social investment within Africa’s social impact ecosystem.
