When Heinrich Gabler was a young boy, his mother tragically passed away in a car accident. After the funeral, his dad left him and his brothers, and they went to live in House Andrew Murray Child and Youth Care Centre in Wellington, South Africa.

During his time in the children’s home, Heinrich was adamant to make the best of his situation, and remained positive about the future. He courageously forgave his father, and with the help with a bunch of good-hearted people, he decided to make the most of his life.

Today, Heinrich is not only a qualified teacher and rugby coach with the title of Mr South Africa 2019 behind his name, but he is also an inspirational mentor to many and co-founder of a nonprofit organisation, Upcycle SA. Heinrich is one of the #RealHeroes in South Africa.
