Nelson Mandela had a vision to spread equality and freedom for all. He would have been 100 years old this year, but he passed the torch to the rest of South Africa to continue burning the flame of social change. Madiba was a servant-leader, setting a humble but powerful example of how we can become change-makers ourselves.
Every Day Madiba Champions
Valcare’s mission is to activate and enable social change in community. We believe that in order for this change to be sustainable and have a real impact, every day should be Mandela Day. No matter how big or small your action. If a positive act is done consistently and in collaboration with others, change will come.
We therefore encourage you to join one of the existing activities taking place on 18 July 2018.
But here’s a challenge! Why not sign up to become a regular volunteer too?
Be someone that gives back, uplifts and contributes regularly. The Valcare team will look at your passions, interests, skills, talents and time availabilty and then match you to with of our more than 200 member organisations.
There are other ways of getting involved too. You can contribute financially to support Valcare’s strategic intervention programme, donate gifts in kind or pray with us. Click here for more information.
